Branham High School Music Boosters welcomes you to the 2023-2024 Season and the Branham Royal Alliance Band and Color Guard! Funding for program expenses is not provided by the school district, so the boosters raise funds throughout the year and rely on student pledge donations. These funds are used for equipment, transportation, meals, uniforms, music, instructional staff, and miscellaneous expenses for the Marching/Color Guard, Symphonic, Concert, and Jazz bands, as well as the Wind Ensemble, and other music programs.

The approximate cost ($1450) per student is subsidized through fundraising and each year, the boosters ask band families to contribute, by way of monetary  Fair Share Pledge donations and fundraising efforts, a portion of the per student cost of the program. The boosters provide individual fundraising opportunities throughout the year to assist families with the requested student’s pledge donation. Through fundraisers, we are able to subsidize this cost and keep the requested pledge down to $1100 per student for 2023. Without this financial participation from our student families, it would not be possible to continue providing our kids with the excellent programs that have been established at Branham.

We realize that this subsidized amount still may be difficult for some families so we provide many opportunities to fund-raise, with the profits going directly toward your child’s pledge! Some involve options of working the Branham football snack shack, bake sales, online merchandise sales, crowdfunding, or simply purchasing gift cards for stores you shop at anyway through our SCRIP program.

There are many ways to meet your requested pledge:

  • You do not have to donate to your pledge all at once. Many families make donations in installments throughout the year.
  • You can do combinations of donations and fundraising.
  • Several families have met their pledges solely through fundraising.

This program takes considerable time and money to run so every contribution from every family matters! We count on each family being able to contribute to their pledge when we budget each year. If you think that, even with fundraising, reaching your requested pledge will be a problem for your family please contact one of the board members so we can are aware of this for budgeting purposes and can assist you in working towards this goal. Every Royal Alliance member is important to us and your child is welcome on this team.

We have an abundance of volunteering positions and fundraisers which can greatly offset the cost of the program. You can reference the Branham Band Volunteer section for volunteering opportunities in addition to the many fundraisers offered. More details will be available throughout the year.

Does your company match your charitable donations?

In 2015, 90% of U.S. companies offered a donation matching program to their employees. If 90% of us matched just their pledge donation through company matching programs, it would generate over $58,000! That’s over half the band’s annual budget, and goes a long way at keeping your pledge donation lower. In 2015, more than $6 billion in money budgeted for matching gift programs was left on the table, unused. Depending on your company’s policy, you may need to enter the charity information before you contribute. Find out if YOUR company offers a matching gift program at https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=content.view&cpid=1799

To make a pledge donation, please visit our online store or view our donation section.

All pledge donations to BHS Music Boosters are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law (Federal Tax ID 32-0093293).

Please note: As the majority of the program expenses occur during the Fall marching season, we encourage and appreciate contributions made early in the year.
